How's Your Weather?

We're back up to the mid 70's again ... but about 6 years ago, on Easter Sunday, it started snowing here ... started at 5:30 a.m. and didn't stop until 8:30 a.m. It was all melted by 11:00 a.m. Snow is rare for Tucson, but being high desert (nearly 2700 ft. elevation) anything can happen.

I think spring has sprung.

Well so we switched temps. We were in the 70's last week. Now it
would be pure luck if the temp is up to 50 today. It's still raining.
I didn't get to go to church tonight. I forgot what time it was when
it was too late to go. I need to get my fanny in gear tomorrow if
the temp is 30. I have church work to do.

Sunny this morning with no winds. But very cold last evening and during the night, almost below zero in Celcius, which mean close to 32 F. Somehow it must be the strangest year so far weatherwise, tons of rain in January and February like the prophets of the weather can´t seem to decide, when they will finally let us all smile more, knowing the winter for 2008 has past for good.

But the flowers and the trees don´t seem to mind, and all the birds around here are having a field day, which make the neighbourhood very happy and colourful.

Ms. Judy.

I am so happy on your behalf.

As planned, I went by a cap to the Easter lunch, I had been invited to more or less with only blue jeans, sneakers, a T-shirt and my old Lewis cowboy jacket. It was a typical GRAND Danish Easter lunch, until someone suggested that we all took a walk in the sunny spring time. Right :rolleyes:

You´re not gonna believe this Ms. Judy - The sun was gone at 4 PM, very cloudy, windy and worse - SNOWING. Yes, you read me right - SNOWING in the last part of March.

That´s it. The stats say for the Danish summer, if the weather is bad at Easter then it´s a good idea begin planning to travel south during summer time.

Someone around here realy made a mess with the weather prophets upstairs. Brrr!! California, here I come!!

I've seen it come a blizzard here in Kentucky this late myself on the first
day of spring. I thought It would never stop snowing this time 10 years
ago. This time it's a lot better Intet.

Cant complain - much much better than Europe!

Muza dear :trp::trp::tiphat::tiphat::banana::banana::wave::wave:, where have thou been lately??

Great to hear from you, supposing you´re Okey Dokey and even greater that you´re blessed with better weather than in Europe. It does not take much, though. It´s happend before. I can remember when spring time in april introduced snow.

Today on this holy Friday, it´s back to the ordinary Danish spring time - Cloudy and rain, rain and then some more rain, which means the snow is gone.

is a bit strange is sunny here in madrid, a splendid day when I look out through my window, but when I went this morning out to the street it was so windy I couldn't believe it, what's more, everyone is out of Madrid because of semana santa and to see the streets completely empty of people and this windy was dreamy like, kind of a ghost city

Dear Intet, I am great, even more than Okey Dokey. I had a busy busy month - Germany, Czech Republic, London, Paris - now Im just resting from my vacation, lols.

The weather most certainly was not that great. Always cloudy, gloomy, rainy, freezing. It was a bit stormy in London - the wind was so strong, I nearly fell into Themse ;).

But the weather here is great. A bit windy, but sunny and warm ;) its good to be home!

On topic almost in tears on this holy Friday March 21.:

Here the weather at 4:40 PM has turned more bad since this morning. SNOW storm, nothing less can do it with heavy winds from the east. The snow fly parallel with the ground, realy a horrific nasty heavy cold wind. But then typical Danish weather unpredictable, so what we should have had and realy missed during Christmas (for 24 hours) somehow we´ve got it a bit late duing the Easter 2008. That´s Denmark in a nut shell.

Muza, welcome home.

What great news from you: "Germany, Czech Republic, London, Paris - now Im just resting from my vacation, lols.". I know what you mean and then you have to rest, while you´re back at home again after an exciting holiday abroad - and must continue at work, :D:);) That´s life!!

You must have had the time of your life, traveling through 4 countries at least in a month. Well done Muza, I know the inspiration you achieved during this trip will comfort you for the next year, and then comfort us all at the MIMF.

There is a very simple reason, to why the Danes discuss the weather. We´re simply to well off in this tiny country, socially and economicly, the land of the Jante-law and Danish Dynamite soccer.:grin: So the only thing in this secure little country, we can only desire for but not predict is the weather - a little more than 5 million different opinions on a dayly basis without fighting - that´s Democracy!!:grin:

Bless your heart Intet. I wished you were here where it's sunshine and
64 degrees. I know that you are sick of such winter weather. Your
region is as far north as Alaska USA.

Good Friday was a Gorgeous Good Friday - Sunshine, 84°(F) - coming home from church service tonight I had the windows and the sunroof wide open enjoying the fresh air. Supposed to be 87 for Easter day.

Ms. Judy ;)

This is Alaska, USA - No doubt about it. The snow this morning still on the ground, while the temperature went below zero last night and all the way through this morning still below zero in celcius equals less than 29 F.:)

Of course all the children here locally are happy. Now they can all use the presents they received at Christmas especially for winter time, while Denmark was as green as the US Dollar bills. But now it´s all white, identical to the behind of a baby. :D

Well, nothing to do about it. Only, the sad thing is all the flowers will not survive through this weather. However, we´re blessed with sunshine - so far around 10 AM. ;)

Don't we all wished we were all in Arizona with Krummhorn? The weather
there has been in the 80's. Here in my region it is a windy 48 degrees
with a windchill. Brrr! It makes me cold thinking about it.

Ms. Judy and Master Krummhorn

Excactly my words Ms. Judy. This most friendly looking/speaking professional arizonian pipe organist Master Krummhorn lives the right place, whethjer it´s winter or summer, fall or spring time, where the temperature never goes below zero, where the sun is never a stranger, where snow is something you can only read about or sing about round Christmas carrolls, or watch in the telly from the old Walt Disney silent movies.

However, I feel so pleased on behalf of Master Krummhorn, whose service and most talented piece of advice always bring joy to everyone.

I can´t remember the last time the temperature crossed 84-87 F in Denmark, perhaps around 1912?

Well, I have to go outside again to shovel the white powder. Now, I wish for ya´ll to have a nice weekend - in the sun.
