Hey Judy ... you're warmer now than Tucson
We're currently at 60°F, with lots of clouds, and a dusting of snow covering the mountain range that is just a couple miles to the north. Lots of rain and much cooler temps on the way here ... maybe a dusting of snow towards Thursday.

Judy, I'm glad you're a bit warmer after such a cold winter. Time to get your summer clothes out, I reckon.

It's a blissfully cool 18C here in Sydney. But my heart goes out to our neighbours in the state of Victoria where more than 180 people are confirmed dead in the bushfires and authorities think the death toll may reach as high as 300. They haven't been able to get into some towns that have been destroyed by fire to find out exactly what happened. http://www.theage.com.au/

It's windy enough to knock you down and it's sheet raining. Even though
it's just a rainy wind storm. It reminds me of a 52 mile wind tropical storm.

Cold and rainy this morning. Snow on the mountains. Here's a view from my office window at home:

Krummhorn that's beautiful! I love mountains. Here I'm expecting a bad
storm and a lot of wind again! 40 mph winds with gust up to fifty. I will
be glad when this bad weather goes! I miss the sunshine. Humidity
around 100 percent!

Hey Kh,

This picture is so *photoshopped* :p.

Sorry, couldn't resist :lol::lol::lol:.

It's very nice. How's your new camera working for you?

OT:

It's snowing (again!:scold:).

Right now I'm under a storm warning. Even though the sun is peaking
it's smiley face out, it won't for long. The storm looks furious on the
weather channel. After all of the wind and thunderstorms there will be
a little snow later. Yikes! The temps right now is 64 degrees.

Hi CD,

Called the Santa Catalina Mountains. Tucson is in a valley ... a high desert valley ... surrounded by mountain ranges in all directions. The Catalina's are to the north and the highest peak in that range is Mt. Lemmon at 9,157 feet. Nearby is Mt. Bigelow where a good many TV and radio transmitters are located.

It's okay, Mat ...
Camera working great ... for that picture (and it's not photoshopped, btw) I used the telephoto (55 - 200mm) lens. Still getting used to all its bells and whistles - it's a terrific machine for sure, and so easy to download to the PC.

Krummhorn, if I lived where you do I'd never leave home! Cheers Vicki

Hi Vicki,

It's an okay place to live ... except for the scorching summers.

9:45 am, 64°F, partly cloudy.

Odd when the weather people mention "partly cloudy" or "partly sunny" ... is there really a difference between the two?
I mean, it's like a glass being half empty or half full isn't it

Aloha GrandMaster Krummhorn,

Truly, it is like choosing to see the glass cup as being *half-empty or half-full.*

Cheers,

Right at the moment it's a sunshiny day. I heard yesterday that we
were in for a big snow storm in the near future. I hope it's wrong but
it's still better than two inches of ice any day.

Judy,
Just remember all these "cool" days when the blast furnace of hades delivers scorching temperatures in a few months .... I think we would all welcome sheets of ice when it's 106°F outside. :nut:

Currently in Tucson, 61°F and clear.
