Sun has actually condescended to come out for a while, but we've still got one of those lazy winds,

it can't be bothered to go round you it just cuts straight through

It's 53 degrees here and we need some rain. The ground here is a little
dry for this time of year. It's usually muddy and soft. But right now I'm
enjoying the pretty sunshine.

Aloha Vicki,

Whassamatterwithyou? :D:D:D Don't care anymore for british expatriates invading the shores of Oz?:lol::lol:

Yes, Oz can get quite hot, to say the least...But please empathise with Mike, ok? He's getting his tush frozen off in Britain and is quite tired of it - Have mercy on the poor man :):):)

Currently cloudy and 19C w/ 79% RH and NW'erlies @ 9m/sec.

Sorry CD, I don't have a problem at all with Mike (or any other frozen people) visiting our fair shores. But I really don't think he'd like it here at the moment as the weather is quite horrid. Maybe we should organise house swaps for next year.

I'm totally with Vicki on Sydney's present weather, it is just positively disgusting. Not quite as bad as Singapore in the monsoon but pretty damned close.

I got to Singapore and Penang a few times with the RAF back in the 60s, mostly between January and March, quite enjoyed it, also a couple of weeks in Darwin, just a *bit* drier than Singapore !!

I'm not complaining that much anyway, gives me an excuse to sit here at the PC and converse with you lot out there, while trying to work out the idiosyncrasies of Finale Notepad and Myorgan.

Be nice if more people here had Skype or Messenger.

Actually, it's not too bad crashed out on the sofa in front of the fan and eating lots of lemonade ice blocks. My thermometer, which has all sorts of useful things printed on it, says that, at 33C, my kitchen is the perfect temperature for bathing a baby!

Sorry, I'm no good at pictures but if you click on the image you'll see someone needs to revise their forecast.

Hmmmmmm

Ah, what ca I say? The weather here in the Montreal area is typical for January. Brilliant sunshine - and @#*&%@ COLD.. -20C, with a windchill hovering around the -30 point... Still - we are getting more daylight now. Next month will (if typical) bring more snow but warmer temps. Then March - who knows what? Will we get that major blizzard that the March winds bring? We will see what we will see.

A few days ago the temp crept up to just below freezing - and I saw the first raccoon of the year out looking for something to eat. This one took off like a shot so I assume its not one of my friends from last summer.

Heat? Wish we could get a little from our southern friends. But 30C sounds deadly... (with high humidity).

It's time for some breakfast....

Well, it's back to the freezer for Kentucky. Our high today so far is
26 degrees F. It was wonderful yesterday. The high was 60! What
a backwards difference today.

Delicious. Thanks for asking. After yesterday's scorcher it's my favourite temperature of 22C. But yesterday's weather had the saving grace of low humidity.

Glad to hear you've had some pleasant weather, Mike.

Buchpteclare, I send you an extra five to 10 virtual degrees every day between now and the beginning of March.

Cheers

Vicki

Weather stuff.

Mike, try Enviroment Canada. All sorts of satellite and radar weather info.

It's still very cold pretty well across Canada and the north-eastern states. No change in sight for about a week. Clothing is in double layers these days. Big problems from the wind chill. Don't let the dogs out. (Grin).

Vicki - hope to see that temp care package soon.

From what I hear on the news we have nothing to complain about. Spain and southern France having extreme and deadly weather.
