Aloha toto,

That cartoon pic with a cat part way into a tuba - I reminds me of a classmate who played the Sousaphone. One day he blew into the mouthpiece of a Sousaphone and a small cat screamed and shot out of the horn quicker than three shakes of a lambs tail.

Cheers,

CD :):):)

Aloha CD – I tooted a tuba in a past life and, yes, all sorts of foreign bodies quite regularly found their way into and out of its various openings.

Of course, all the cartoon kudos belongs to Tûrwethiel who found it in the first place.

Hi Stephen,

The look on the girl's face was priceless. I have seen something similar done to a man, he was shrinkwrapped.

The tuba pic is, of course, by Hoffnung. I think I still have the books somewhere. Time to venture into the spare room. Actually, I found the pic while looking for something about a piece I used to have on tape. It featured Mr Hoffnung and someone famous, whose name eludes me, playing Frere Jacque (I think - it was a long time ago!) on that most blissful combination of instruments - tuba and contrabassoon. Anyone remember it?
