How many of you seen these new gadgets called the knifty knitter?
I have bought two and they are a lot of fun and so easy. They are a
plastic loom that comes with a very small kit of pick and plastic needle.
Even people who never knitted in their life or crocheted can do it.
One of the looms I bought looks like a tie hanger. Believe me these looms
are sweeping the nation. I think it looks sexy for a man to knit something.
It proves that something us ladies have had the job or joy of doing can
also be macho.

I'm making a new sweater for fall. I thought I would get it done by late
september. I might need it somewhere in the future. I will send a
picture when it's done.

CD, I think you should take up knitting. I understand it's a very macho thing to do and is sweeping the nation...

For really intricate work I have learnt Scrimshaw. Of course, I don't have access to real Spermwhale teeth, just hard plastic varietes. A famous Scrimshaw artist from Nantucket, Mass. inspired me to get into the craft.

I love growing plants and playing with my crabs and talking to them.
I talk Spanish to one of them. Guess which one.

Learning challenging new software is always good for about 600 hours...geez, it's no fun getting older! And to think I used to be a systems tech.
