Actually, no ... When I was in Salzburg (1992) and played for Trinity Sunday Mass at the "Dom" Cathedral, we were specifically asked not to do any Mozart pieces. Same was true for German composers ... the only common thing between Germany and Austria (at least at that time) was the language, other wise there was a huge rift between the two countries.

Nah Colin, almost anything after Baroque can be used for Muzak with a few exceptions, and by exceptions, I don't mean Composers, but a few individual works.

Not wishing to get into politics but the Austrians have always tried to convince the world that Hitler was German and Beethoven was Austrian ;);)
