Franz Xaver Richter....1709-1789 - singer and composer of the famous court of Elector Karl of Mannheim... composed 68 symphonies, and numerous concertos. Mozart was a fan of his work.
JuliusReubke a pupil of Liszt. Reubke's most famous composition is (to organists, at least) his large scale virtuosic Sonata on the 94th Psalm. Sadly, this highly promising young composer died at the early age of 24. He also composed a Piano Sonata.
To comply with the rules of this game I should have begun with 'A', so here goes with Richard Addinsell whose most famous piece must be the 'Warsaw' Concerto, but he composed a large quantity of other music, too.
John Ogdon (1937-1989) - English; most famous as one of the greatest 20th century pianists. Less well-known as a composer but his works include Piano Concertos, a Piano Sonata and at least one opera. He himself recorded his Piano Concerto No.1 and his Piano Sonata.
