Well, at least I know it wasn't that, as they weren't even conceived of-- let alone made--back then! I was probably playing with a slinky and/or wooden blocks.

@ GoneBaroque - me either, in fact my first real memory is from infants school, so I guess around 5?

And the colour was Yellow, not bad for an old codger eh oh and it was in London I worked that out much later, it is amazing the memories that you retain the thing is how accurate are they

I certainly remember the cathedral across from where I lived as a toddler in Wangaratta (Victoria). And being amused that it had, years later, shrunk considerably when I visited in my early 20s after an absence of many years. Funny how the memory is relative, fascinating.

Only very disjointed memories before the age of five. Just little clips. My sister being given a new doll and trying to name it. My grandfather siting smoking a pipe. My uncle flooding the bathroom because the plumber had not connected the overflow pipe. Screaming when I was left with a neighbour.

My earliest memory, I think, is of being in infants school in Victoria and being totally captivated by a gorgeous picture the teacher drew on the chalk board, with yellow chalk, of a flower ... can't remember what the flower was, but I vividly remember it's general shape and the detail.
