I just watched a program on the food network where people were having hot and spicy foods like chocolate chip cookies mixed with jalapenos,
macaroni and cheese with scotch bonnets known also as hobineros.
Sorry my dictionary speller doesn't know the word either. Chocolate
brownies mixed Cayenne power, and gingerbread made with hot ginger.
after the show was over I had to go turn on the air high as it goes
get some milk full of ice to get my mouth from burning and I didn't
even eat the stuff. How do people stand such hot food?:bawl::cry::rolleyes:

Wow Judy, my mouth is burning just at the thought of such hot food.

I can't eat very hot food, it amazes me how hot some people like it.

I'm one of the ones who love hot and spicy food. Hot curries and Thai dishes are wonderful. Of course, I take Nexium every day, so maybe that helps. I just saw a recipe for hot chocolate that did put a pinch of cayenne in it to help warm you on a cold day. Sounds interesting.

Judy - Habeneros, FYI.

I like something kicked up just a little but I need to be careful
with my stomach because I have a nervous one. I use aloe
vera juice once in a while and chocolate to calm it down.
So very spicy foods is off limits.

The really fiery spicy food is in the Korean Kitchen. It is highly advised that you have plenty of hot Barley Tea. When you drink this tea after every mouthful of the spicy stuff, it will immediately neutralise the burning sensation in your mouth.

Judy,
Chocolate wouldn't be good to calm your stomach down as it is a stimulant. You'd be better of with some spice, of which there are many to do the trick, one of the nicer tasting ones is cinnamon. Dark chocolate has the benefit of having antioxidants and isn't too sweet, like milk chocolate.

But you know what they say...all things in moderation.
(it's a very French way to think) :)
