While browsing youtube lookiing for anything about the Salisbury organ I came across this, a "tour" of the cathedral with some intriguing music background to part of it, Swingle singers with the Modern Jazz Quartet in a rendition of Purcell's Dido's Lament! Not sure about the other work in the later part pf the video, some passages are familiar but can't quite tie it down.

Edit: I've just unearthed my copy of the MJQ/Swingle album, as well as the Purcell, there are 2 JSB works, Ricercare á 6 and Air on a G string, plus some original works by John Lewis of the MJQ, Cool stuff

Don't know how I missed this thread. Loved the pictures and the music. I have lived near Canterbury Cathederal for over 45 years and visited it more times than I can remember. These beautiful buildings not only fill you with wonder that they could ever be constructed in the first place but also increase your belief in mankind, that they could wish to do so. In Canterbury you can see the cathederal from everywhere in the city. You can get an uplift just by looking at the skyline.
