Judy, I'm so sorry to hear about Speedy. A few weeks ago, we lost our Isis (our spaniel/terrier mix whose picture has been posted in the doggie thread, wearing a green top hat for St. Paddy's Day).
It's never easy to lose part of the family, be it human or animal. My sympathies.
It looks as if the other two are lost without him. I guess I will have to
get them another little buddy. They are so cute and seem to know
what's going on. They're smart little creatures. The other two are
a bit larger than speedy and Red is such a pretty color the reason for
his name.

On February 12th, my dear kitty turned around and walked away, and I never saw him again. After 8 1/2 years, that was a bit hard to take for a while. It has to happen to all creatures, I guess.
dll927, I'm sorry to hear that. Knowing that it has to happen never lightens the load it places on the spirit. Our "babies" give us so much more than love; most of us never even realize just how important they are in so many aspects of our lives.
I'm very glad that we had gotten our new kitty (Amun, the Abyssinian) in November. It makes it a little easier as we enjoy him, but nothing will replace the void left by the loss of our "little dope."
I have an announcement! I just got this new hermit crab today that
looks like a miniature version of Red. His name is Climber because he
likes to climb on things. I got him to replace Speedy and the same
size as speedy.
