An amusing article in the Sydney Morning Herald that made me snort:
A theory about Pat Curnow's ceiling fan (Column 8, Thursday) which starts by itself is posited by Bill Williams, of Manly. "Most likely, as happened to me," he writes, "a neighbour has installed a garage door with a remote control, with the code numbers in the remote and door controls, by extreme coincidence, the same as those in Pat's ceiling fan. The strong signal from the garage remote could activate Pat's fan." We think it is a remote possibility.
