Can you explain a little more what exactly it is that goes wrong when you play the fugue, please?

The entire Book 1 is available as free legal mp3 downloads here. It's not among the greatest recordings, but not bad either!

Hi Frederic!

The notes in the fugue are correctly played but I can't get the themes to sound right,at the beggining it's ok,but in the midle of the fugue it sound like a blur...You can't hear where the theme is and where the contrapunkt...

Is there some secret to it,or do I just have to practice more?!?

Well, playing contrapuntal music is an art form in itself. When things become a blur, it almost always has to do with lack of clarity in voice leading. There is no easy solution to this except a close study of the score and the compositional technique being used. My immediate suggestion would be to first play the individual voices so you know for certain where they lead, then in pairs with one voice per hand, and when you feel confident, combine them.

Still, this is not really a suitable subject for a quick internet fix... there is so much detail in playing Bach that you need to work out and so many choices you have to make.

Have fun anyway :)
