Quatermass surround remix by Peter Robinson

Uhhh...DVD audio. This was recorded in 1970. It's a surround mix, for people who listen on real DVD players with real speakers. Got a home theatre setup? Oh, I see, just a laptop.

I know, I know, I'm in the Niagara Peninsula, the global home of commercial electricity,
and I got into synth remakes from Switched on Bach to The Four Seasons,
and the overall technology even prompted more, uh, esoteric behavior,
Walter Carlos, who produced the synthed "The Four Seasons" getting a medical sex change.
Yeah, I can still listen to the music, owning the album for a while.
Lots of people have a full time job at computers in Toronto, colourizing black and white movies,
making that a new product you don't have to pay original royalties for, and I can dig those too.
But someone remastering, however digital, stereo, Dolby, surround or CD, DVD, laser disc, Wii,
another band, is beyond sampling, and shouldn't be considered a new product profited by another.
The closest I got to Quatermass is Quarterflash, still singing "Harden My Heart" after all these years,
even if I'm doing a more bass string heavy, Jimi influenced style.

Peter J. Robinson, the keyboardist in Quatermass, also did a lot of good soundtrack work. He was also affiliated with Paul Buckmaster, a cellist and composer who did the strings on Elton John's very first album. John Gustafson, the bassist/vocalist in Quatermass, went on to form a group called Hard Stuff. They put out two albums, the best being "Bolex Dementia."
