Povla Frijsh, Dane soprano?

I have this old LP, the second record ever produced by Town Mall Records, New York, titled "Art Songs Povla Frijsh, soprano, Celius Dougherty at the piano" and the front cover picture of this Dane soprano is absolutely .
From what is written on the back cover, Frijsh made her New York debut in 1915. Four years later, an American critique wrote: A tall graceful figure in becoming grey, yet of very dignified carriage, she looke her audience over with frank expressive eyes which offset her lovely, pace face, and then with the first number she quickened that interest. Immediately the writer was convinced that here was no ordinary singer, but one whose artistry would live long in the minds of those who heard her. And it has and always will." Thirty years later, another American critique wrote: "It isn't what she did or what she does! It's what she is. Frijsh is the song she sings."

Povla Frijsh was an exceptional Danish singer of the first half of the twentieth century. She was born on the island of Aero, off the coast of Denmark. She went to Paris at the age of seventeen and two years later she was touring with Pablo Casals. There she studied with Jean Périer who created Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande.

On this old LP, itself a remastered recording of older 78rpm records, she sings Dvorak, Gluck, Schubert, Schumann, Naginski, Thompson, Clarke, Sinding, Grieg, Backer-Grondahl, Fauré, Debussy, Ravel, Duparc, Chausson, Hahn and Dupont. She's a Denmark-France-USA famous singer....
