Posting Movies and Other Files on MI Music

I've been a member of MI Music board for a while, and I've
noticed people posting picture and movie files. Most of the hosts use
they use allow only 100 MB, some even accept files only up to 10 MB in size. I think MI Music would get much better videos and pictures if people were able to post HUGE files and databases. Also, most hosts only allow pics and videos. What if you want to post shareware or data files?

I use a new site that lets you upload up to 500MB of ANY type of file WITHOUT ANY QUESTIONS. Check out badongo.com http://www.badongo.com. It's a free hosting server that lets you upload files in whatever format. In addition, you can upload softwares, movies, vids, etc. up to 500 MB. Whatever you wanna upload, they support that format no questions asked.

I'm not sure I fully understand the first part of your post, but in any case there's a technical limit to how large a file can be attached to posts on this forum. In this case it's 8 MB limited by php. But besides that, this forum is first and foremost meant as a discussion community, with the option of attaching files to posts as an additional benefit to members. It's never been intended as a hosting service per se.

Thus it's a good idea to use an external site/service for hosting larger files, and although I have not tried badongo myself, it seems like a decent service, if it's really 100% free and there's no catch.

However, I would not recommend anyone uploading one's own artistic creations unless willing to accept this (from terms and conditions):

6. License to Use. You hereby grant to Service a non-exclusive license to publish, market, sell, license, exploit, and use in any way, all materials provided to Service, the Web Site, and/or used in any manner with the Service, including but limited to music, photographs, literary material, art, names, titles and logos, trademarks, and other intellectual property. You will not be compensated for uploads or other material provided to the Service.

Anyone know if this board allows posting that uses the i f r a m e tag?
I found a new free video, picture, and files that allows uploads of up to
500MB. You can stream vids directly from your upload via an i f r a m e
