The Danish organ building company Frobenius celebrates its centennial (100th year) anniversary this year with two concerts. One in Aarhus Cathedral, tomorrow May 12th at 19:00 (7 pm) and one in Vangede Church, May 14th.
There is free public access to the concert in Aarhus Cathedral.
At both concerts Dame Gillian Weir will perform works by J.S. Bach, G.F. Händel, Olivier Messiaen and Jaques Charpentier. Furthermore I will give the first performance of my new work: Rhapsody for organ »Viva Voce«, commissioned by Frobenius.
The main organ in Aarhus Cathedral is the largest pipe organ in a church in Denmark with 89 voices (116 ranks).

It is a great honor for me that Frobenius has asked me to compose and perform a new work at this occasion, and I'm looking much forward to the concerts!
Regards,
Frederik
