My latest song

So here's the story. I thought I would do an Autumn Leaves arrangement. I assumed I could put that on my CD without the rights. Turns out the author has to have been dead for 50 years. It's been 42. That means I spent 2 weeks not composing anything, thinking I'd improvise.

Plan ruined. Fresh out of ideas. I figured I'd attempt to improvise classical. Took all day before I was satisfied enough to record a measly 2:35 of music. I'm somewhat satisfied with it, but I may revise it. Let me know what you think.

I sympathise with you, but at least it is a lovely piece, and it gave us some entertainment

Don't lose heart

If you used the correct "name" for your music you might get a better response. For starters, it's a work for solo piano therefore it's a piece not a song. A song is a work performed by one or more singers (people who sing).

Sorry English is my 3rd language. Translation can get messy.

I could use constructive criticism concerning the PIECE, however.

Dont get downhearted. It often takes awhile for music to be reviewed on this site. I enjoyed it and that is all that matters. Keep posting

I enjoyed it, tell me, what would you have to pay to use Autumn Leaves ? CT is right you must learn the right name.

I got discouraged pretty fast when I heard the news so I haven't really checked into what it would take to get the rights. I'm assuming you have to contact the family or the studio that represented him. Not sure how much it would cost.

If you guys have the time, I'd appreciate a review of the other pieces on the youtube channel. Some are alot more complex than that one.
