Hi All!
So I've started work on Carillon from Dupre's Sept Pieces. For those unfamiliar with the work I'll post Dupre's own recording below. I've gotten about halfway through it, but I've had one big issue. Very often the descending fourths on the manuals overlap. I know this is an issue with French music and normally you repeat the note if it's in the same voice and you tie the note if it's between two voices. Technically this is between two voices but since it's a staccato chord coming off of a sustained chord what would you do? Sustain the notes? Or repeat them and then sustain them on the second time.?
Any help is appreciated!
