Hello there!
Recently on the Ovation Channel (Foxtel Digital) Bolero had played, and I'm now desperately trying to find a free download of the song, but to no luck. If anyone knew any sites, or links to help an obsessed Bolero fan out, it would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Pardon my CAP lock error. If you find the time,Please remove my quote to Bolero.I appreciate the input no violation taken. As a new member,I may have posted an MP3 file in the wrong section of this site. The music is my own creation and posted in the GENERAL MUSIC GALLERY,Thanyou[edit: illegal link removed. - Please do not post copyrighted material on this site, to which you don't own the rights to redistribute yourself. - read this: http://www.magle.dk/music-forums/903-rules-information-regarding-attachment.html - if you're in doubt. ~ corno]
According to the copyright laws ,Maurice Ravel's BOLERO schould be in public domain around 2007.Sorry about that Here is an article regarding Maurice Ravel's BOLERO,theft of the century: http://www.guardian.co.uk/g2/story/0,3604,477906,00.html#article_continuesepherial, there's no reason to shout (which you are doing by typing with your caps-lock on)!
There's nothing wrong with the question, so there's no reason to remove this post.
As listed in our posting guidelines, which I hope all of you have read some time or another, it clearly states that if you link or attach material which is still under copyright by the composer/artist or similar, then you have to have their consent, and preferably post it (ad notam).
Since Maurice Ravel's music isn't in the public domain, it's still considered copyright material, and is, as such, illegal to link to in any way that will breach this intellectual right.
There've been replies to this post suggesting the poster could try his local library, buy a cd which contains the piece and there's even a clue to a specific album on which the piece is released. All perfectly relevant answers.
I'm sorry if you feel "violated" when I deleted your link, but please bear in mind that this site will not in any way, have a part distributing or suggesting that others distribute copyrighted material without the written consent of the copyright holder. That is all. It has nothing personally to do with you, other than it was you who posted the link.
If you, or anyone else have any questions regarding our posting guidelines, please don't hesitate to drop us a note (either by PM or, preferably, in the support section of this site - where all may benefit from the questions asked), and we'll do our best to answer any and all questions you might have.
You schould also contact Frederik Magle and tell him that one of the clients that his website gives advertising space to is a free"we didnt steal it" lowlife music download site. The site: http://www.getsongsnow.com/ is also listed as a "SCAM" contributing to 1000s of music copyright infringements."GETSONGSNOW.COM" truely defines what you were talking about when you removed the "BALERO MP3" link I posted a few days ago.If I were an artist like your self, trying to sell my work so that I could eat.I would definitely feel "VIOLATED".[edit: illegal link removed. - Please do not post copyrighted material on this site, to which you don't own the rights to redistribute yourself. - read this: http://www.magle.dk/music-forums/903-rules-information-regarding-attachment.html - if you're in doubt. ~ corno]
