Erich Wolfgang Korngold,a child prodigy, wunderkind, but largely unheralded as a jew in Nazi Germany, came to Hollywood in the 30's and made several film scores such as "The Sea Hawk" and "Kings Row" was,in my opinion the greatest composer of film music that ever lived. He also wrote operas and a symphony, which contains one of the most impassioned adagios ever written. He has been scorned as more korn than gold when in reality he is one of the great composers of all time and justly deserves his due. If anyone is familiar with this fascinating composer and would like to share their thoughts on his genius than I would urge you to do so.I would very much like to hear opinions of this mans music and would like to share insights. Thank you,Zoned.
