I always find it fascinating when these "finds" come up in searches of my own, too.

These works by Stanley are wonderful ... actually, anything composed by John Stanley (imho) is delightful both as a listener and in the case of his organ works, as a performer.

I had to look up Theorbo to find out about it.

I'm surprised you had to look up the Theorbo, they seem to be coming back into use quite a lot in recent years especially in ensembles using period instruments or copies thereof. Maybe it's a European thing!

I first heard Stanley sonatas by this artiste on the tube, I think you will like this rendition, flute and theorbo, the cd it comes from also has works by Handel and others.

Some of the toob vids of Clare College choir have a small ensemble accompanying including theorbo.
