Yup; the mind is always trying to make sense out of things. Only 55 out of 100? That surprises me; I would think the number would be higher...

Apparently, if you mix the letters in a word, but keep the correct letters at the beginning and end (which is what is happening in lindas's opening post) most people will be able to read it.
