Help- Can anyone identify this music

Hi .. I've been trying to find out what this song is for awhile now .. does anyone know it? If you scan the video (http://www.veoh.com/videos/v483053tYXBGNpj?searchId=4259562333020092096&rank=0) to the time 20:45 you can hear the song in the background. Sometimes it loads a bit slow .. I apologize for this .. it's the only reference I have to the song. I'd appreciate any response .. thank you very much!

Hmm, well I sat through over 20 minutes of b-o-r-i-n-g cartoon dialogue with subtitles (it wouldn't allow me to scan forward) for a 10 second snipet of music ... no idea what it is or what it is from. Some of the music sounds like John Williams' style ... but I could be wrong :crazy:.

Would have been nice if the poster could have re-mastered the "song" banghead into a mp3 or wav file for the musical part at 20:45. Asking peeps to watch a cartoon for 20 minutes is a bit much, imho.

Krum, you didn't have to watch it...just load it while on pause then when fully loaded, go forward to the specified time...still you didn't have to watch...just listen

Well, it's Mahler. Somewhere in one of the later symphonies, I'm tempted to say no. 9, but I don't think it is.

Find someone who's been listening to Mahler more recently and more actively than I, and they'll be able to identify the piece (and movement) immediately.

(Ten years ago, I could have done the same, I'm sure!!)

I've actually played that symphony--I'm embarassed I didn't recognize it. But in my defense, I was a second violin and it was probably 8 years ago.

Hi Fretless,

Don't sweat it dear Sir. I have played the movement as a transcription for organ many a time at funerals. It eloquently speaks of that which is beyond death, hell and the grave.
