I will soon be taking the lift to the top floor for us in UK that's the third floor, (ground, 1,2,3), for the colonials it's the fourth to the "Resident's Lounge" laden with booze and nibbles and a load of CDs and a 7 hour playlist with plenty of nostalgic stuff

Last evening went well, most of us lightly inebriated, went on 'til about half past one, so had a nice lie in today!

We celebrated with carry out pizza at home. The clock chimes midnight, and we went to bed.

Some started celebrating with fireworks and shotgun blasts (hopefully blank rounds) around 9:00pm ... hmmm - maybe they were from back east and had not reset their watches ... :lol: Shooting fireworks in our city and county is illegal, but very hard to enforce.
