Helo every one. At the moment i am working on playing the Coltrane tune Giant steps. In about 200 years i might be good at soloing over the chord changes. You should try playing the melody with octaves on the A and B string, beginning at the third fret.
Are you sure those are the chords?
If you can build up the melody with octaves, you can seque into "Third Stone from the Sun", by Jimi Hendrix.
John Coltrane would approve of that.
"After the Rain" and "Alabama", by John Coltrane, also provide clues for "Giant Steps".
