Franz Liszt

I'm listening to Frank Liszt for the first time right now. To be specific, I am listening to 'Franz Liszt: Complete Piano Music, Vol. 1'.

I've heard (or read) it before, that Liszt has great influence in heavy metal music, and now that I'm listening to it for the first time, I see it. It's a little bit dark, and carries the same kind of transitions I'm used to in heavy metal music.

Franz is a new entry on my list of favorites.

You know, I can easily understand how Franz Liszt could be an inspiration for heavy (and other kinds of) metal music! His music is highly dramatic, powerful, sometimes a little bombastic... Even his appearance might have inspired some rock/metal musicians...
