Film Score matching the actions within a scene

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone could name me some good examples of movie scenes where the score is obviously composed to match the actions/situations, where the musical intervention adheres evidently to the editing of the images.
I'm talking about music specifically composed for a movie, not pre-existing tracks.

One such movie comes to mind immediately ... The Runner Stumbles (1979) directed by Stanley Kramer and original music composed and directed by Ernest Gold.

I was on the sound stage when the music was recorded for the film (the company I worked for had loaned an organ for use in the score) which was a very interesting experience. The film is viewed and the composer/director works on cues when to start or end the music. I was quite impressed at the whole process.
