Why is it whenever someone asks me this wquestion my mind draws a blank? Same with favorite books or music. I LOVE movies-here are some of my Favs, even with these im sure i am forgetting some:

My favorite movies are The Jazz Singer by Neil Diamond
and the Titanic. My favorite shows used to be the
Carol Brunette show, Tonight Show with Johnny Carson,
Emeril Live, 30 minute meals, and Good Eats on the Food
Network.

The Shawshank Redeption has to be very high on my list. Just about the best adaptation of any of Stephen Kings books and very true to the original work.(Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption)..

Shirley Valentine - a strong contender.

From TV shows I like very much Mad Men.
Start watching just to check what it is.. but then just got MAD as well :p
I am not surprised that got thirteen Emmys and four Golden Globes.
Has a nice scoring by David Carbonara

I love horror movies but I have no favourite. For tv shows, I love HOUSE and CRIMINAL MINDS, plus Japanese cartoons (anime) like Ranma 1/2, Detective Conan, and Azumanga Daioh.
