If you relish to have the new music produced in a carefully-crafted manner, then pay attention to DYNAMO BLISS. This Swedish band is able to recreate the exciting retro-sound. Among of references I could give as traces are: The Beatles, ELO, Klaatu, Alan Parsons and 10 cc. The harmony vocals have a great deal of importance, drawing emotions and state of mind. The keyboards shine quite often and offer a lot of new perspectives. The guitar playing is splendid, the bas and drums are noteworthy. A delicacy of material keeps better each time you take it in... In sum up: '21st Century Junk' is an album that's highly enjoyable to listen to. :)

We don't often have the opportunity to encounter such style of music. Totally unpretentious yet very effective style. Dynamo Bliss clearly show their influences but these guys have enough quality and fresh ideas to come soon with another superb album.

Thanks PH, I enjoyed their music and will watch out for it. I thought No Sense In It had strong overtones of The Beatles.

Also from Aerodynamic Records comes the 2010 debut of Swedish band Dynamo Bliss, who MuzikReviews.com described as “The Beatles meet Marillion in a time warp and stop to pick up Be Bop Deluxe along the way… absolutely brilliant!” This really is blissed-out prog with a strong pop foundation. It seems the Swedes, more than any others right now, are keeping alive the art of harmony vocals and vocal arrangements, Moon Safari being one obvious example. And it deserves a short review to itself. Mood and tempo changes abound, motifs appear and are broadened and developed as the composition progresses. This is an excellent mini-suite that has so much depth that you’re sure to find something special on every listen. Bits of 'Circadian Rhythm' have a familiar ring, while some other parts assault the senses and really leave you breathless... :cool:

Dynamo Bliss have forged their own unique path: a lighter side of melodic prog spectrum, colouring with hints of jazz and psychedelia, funk astuteness and pop sensibility. Intelligence, thoughtfulness, dexterity, which reflect the confidence of musicianship... And with a backline of great talents to help out on ‘Poplar Music’, the quality and high class is evident again. :cool:

The style of Dynamo Bliss was strongly compared to the sound that The Fab Four, Electric Light Orchestra, 10 cc, Alan Parsons have used to successful effect. That allusion is also a strong reference for album number three, ‘Day And Night’. The instrumentation, retro approach and extent of variety in each track should make you hitting the repeat button on many occasions. :cool:

Yeah, ABBA is still pushing it big time, making news with new musical releases.
I thought maybe Lady Gaga was going to fill their slot, but I gagged too soon.
