Comment on my first Fugue, please!

Hey, ya'll! Great forum! I'm new here.

I made these two fugue's for the first time. Not sure what the exact rules are for a fugue. What do you guys think of it? Feel free to give comments!

Welcome to MIMF and I hope you enjoy as well as learn from these forums. I hear the themes but the developement of them need some work.. Is a good beginning as the fugue art is difficult at best with hours of study.. Perhaps listening to Bach's Preludes and Fugues wil give you added insite as well as they belong in everyone classical Library.... Maybe a good start for you would be: Bach's Eight little Preludes and Fugues ( for organ) vol 1456 from Schirmer's Library of Musical Classics which is edited by Widor and Schweitzer - ISBN 0-7935-7287-8

Another advantage of this collection is that you can listen to many of them on youtube and follow the music at same time which aid you in understanding the themes and their developement and complex inter-working. Good luck and Take care
