I love to go abroad, but I also love to come home. What a wonderful display CD. Worth going home for itself.
I notice a lot of people around here are not decorating the outside of their houses this year. Money is tight.

Same here in Moscow - Money is very tight, and the few things that are on display are carefully chosen from all the crap that otherwise surrounds society.

Glad you all made it home safely, CD ... trips are always wonderful, but coming home is always beckoning. Really liked the image you gave us ... looks very inviting.

There was one exception though ... I never wanted to leave Denmark in 2010 ... it felt so much like 'home' to me considering my Danish heritage.

Kh, I understand what you mean - My wife and I dearly love Denmark - A really cozy place...One doesn't want to leave...

And here's a better image:

The oversized shopping mall(pictured above) aka "State Universal Store" GUM - was a one-stop shopping deal with stores that provided for the common Muscovite - Now its a Galleria with shops that'll put Rodeo Drive in L.A. to shame - Luxury all over the place - and then there is TSUM, another Phantasy Mall where you can buy everything your heart desires - if they don't have it in stock, they'll get it for ya...Just be sure your credit card has the sufficient amount of zeroes before the decimal point.
