Hi, does anyone know the name of the piece I've uploaded here?:

In the interest of good computer hygiene, you won't need to download anything to your computer. There is a small green play button that loads in the box once the clip has loaded, so you can just stream it.

I recorded this off a BBC program, quality is as good as I could get with my PC mic. There was talking over the rest of it so it's only these few seconds that I uploaded where you can actually hear anything. Seems to be a piece for brass and it sounds really familiar, but I can't place it. Any help would be appreciated! :)

I have no idea it isn't long enough to really tell. Could you record
some more?

Well that's the start of the piece and that's all I can get. Anyone (who can be bothered :p) can hear a longer segment from around 5.35 to 6.00 in this video clip, and then again from about 6.25 onwards with a slight variation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnULw25t7xk&feature=related :p

Unfortunately, people talking over the piece every time it is used means it wouldnt be heard even if I did record it.

Oh, that makes a lot of sense then :p This was a resurrection of Ground Force by the BBC Top Gear team for Sport Relief. While an ardent Top Gear fan, I've never actually seen Ground Force so didn't know. Lot of brass music used throughout the program, must've been all from the original show. Thanks a lot marval!

Hi Ms. Margaret,

I'm a great fan of the Black Dyke Mills Band. The Grimethorpe Colliery is also a crack British Band whose musicianship I like.

Cheers,

You're welcome Argoth

Corno Dolce, they are two very good bands. Have you seen the film Brassed of? That is about brass bands.

Hi Ms. Margaret,

No, I'm sorry to say that I'm not familiar about that which you speak. Is there a DVD available with that film?

Cheers,

It is no more than the theme song for the program. It does however
sound like a polka from germany. It might be strause's polka.

Well done on providing the answer Margaret.

I have seen Brassed Off; watched it with my Dad a couple of years ago. I remember enjoying it. A fine film; I would recommend it. Not sure if it's available on DVD, but I'd guess probably.

Hi Corno Dolce and Rojo

It is a good film.

It is on DVD, but I'm not sure the best place to get it. Amazon do it. Will see if I can find other places too.
