Alternative to horsemeat?

It appears Iceland (the country not the frozen food chain) does not have a problem with horsemeat in its pies, although there is another problem.

It also appears that even Ikea have problems, I thought they sold furniture! Maybe they thought to use more of the horse than just the hair for stuffing sofas!

When I lived New York there was a Chinese restaurant that had to be closed down and put out of business. Why? the Board of Health inspectors found 15 dead cats in the freezer during an unannounced visit.

Another association of Chinese restaurants and cats was a very large quantity of cat food cans in the trash. Kit-E-Kat flied lice or chop suey anybody?

About forty years ago a local Chinese restaurant was found to have a dog in the freezer. They were allowed to keep their licence after claiming that the dog was for staff consumption only. A true story.
