Alberti: the man behind the bass

After a lifetime of hearing the name of Domenico Alberti (c. 1710-c. 1740) associated with the Alberti bass, but never hearing any of his work, I grew curious.
So I ordered a photocopy of his 8 keyboard sonatas from the Library of Congress.
I chose a couple of the sonatas which I thought were kinda nice, and copied them over.
Here they are.

Thanks alot for posting these sheets
It could be fun to play some of Alberti's music since most of us probably only know through the "Alberti bass" phenomena....
The Alberti bass is actually quite brilliant to apply when composing piano music. It can add an enourmous pace and intensity to modern piano music while it previously was used mainly in slower movements or in dances. Many famous composers applied the Alberti bass, I guess that Mozarts famous Sonatine is a prime example. It is being played exstensively at many music schools today
