Typical... I got JOHN HUGHES' fantastic album "WILD OCEAN", (he's the guy who manages The Corrs), but didn't realise if I bought it from HMV, I could enter the competition for a free weekend in Dublin

I was about to download my free drinks voucher from the site and go and drown my sorrows, when I suddenly realised that it will make the perfect Xmas present for a lot of my friends, and double my chances of winning

I visited John Hughes' site, after reading an article about him. I was immediately impressed with the design of the site and the option to listen to the album online. I thought his music to be very uplifting and evocative. I think the name of the album really suits the music, as it does have an elemental feel. I found "Dancing in the wind" seem to stay in my head and so I visited the site a few more times before I decided to buy the album!

What a sales speak...

I'm always a sucker for Irish music so of course I had to have a listen.

However, even though the generel feel is nice and soothing and ethereal and all,and the singer does indeed have a beautiful voice, I feel that the music lacks drive, to me it is simply stalling in places. There are exceptions of course, like "Dancing in the wind", which is a nice piece of music.
