The bug is there for sure. I made demos of it showing to Kirk how a jump would repeat the same half part of a cycle, instead of going to the correct zero corssing at the right place. I am very sensitive to this sound and I get it quite often, also with a principal, in the bass, even of a 8'. It is not related to any particular sample set.
I made serious tests and be certain the bug exists. Listen again. You may have many correct closures and then one making the characteristic sound I can't stand !
