Nikolaj Znaider (violin) and Daniel Gortler (piano) gave the first performance of Frederik Magle's Variations and Theme for violin and piano »Journey in Time« (»Rejse i tid«) on January 24, 2000 at »Værket« in Randers, Denmark.

They have subsequently performed the piece at many concerts in many contries around the world, including the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), National Radio Concert Hall (Copenhagen), as well as concert venues in Spain, France, and many other places. (Read a review from a Copenhagen performance)
